I often wonder on the driving forces. But I think you might be largely correct. A good portion might just be stupid people in positions of authority. That explains quite a bit of the behavior but not all. Something tells me selfish greed and high intelligence is also involved. The mass manipulation however is the biggest threat. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency's following their stamping-out policy-basically, wipe out the whole flock of about 400 birds to stop the highly pathogenic H5N1 from spreading. Even though only some were sick and recovered, it's to protect the bigger poultry industry and keep export markets open, like to Japan and Mexico. Courts backed 'em up yesterday, so it's happening now. Tough call, but that's the official line... We are sooo fucked here in Canada 🔥🇨🇦🔥

Ostriches have the best immune systems and produce antibodies quickly. It was deemed a scientific breakthrough for true vaccine research (not the covid kind). Its scaleable, quick and affordable. So the obvious decision is to slaughter them all. 🙄 way to go Canada.
