I was a U.S. AF Reservist, watching with my jaw hanging, waiting for the news flash announcing the deployment of the Soviet military into East Germany and, specifically, Berlin. But it never came. Next drill weekend, the wide discussion was whether we would be disbanded.

Because of the revolution in Romania this didn't end up in blood. The russians saw what happened in Romania when the comunism fall down and didn't shoot at the people

Worst mistake in world history. Now...East Germany is filled with Africans and Turks, as is all of Germany. In an alternative universe...it would actually be German. Imagine that.
