I think we can all agree that the VN medium is dying and desperately needs some young blood within it. I took the liberty of "localizing" a well-beloved classic to make it more hip with the contemporary crowd, and I think Warring States Randy could catch on in the West now.

Perhaps it's due to how the Japanese reaction to his works is hidden behind a language barrier, and due to most english fans coming across it after it's come out as an omnibus. A great example is the reaction to Tsumihoroboshi chronicled here.

One of the most interesting parts of Ryukishi07's work that I don't see too much discussion around is how it being released over a period of months in several parts influenced how the work came together as a whole. The works are always presented as just Umineko or Higurashi.
