To every VNtwt "User" who calls me a pathetic covid larper who has ONLY read one visual novel. I present to you my VALIDATION into the ranks of VNtwt. Let's see yours bud.
Over here reading Zetsubou-Sensei kicking my legs in the air as if I'm reading about the anime adaptation when it happened. Absolutely infectious happiness radiating from Koji Kumeta

I think we can all agree that the VN medium is dying and desperately needs some young blood within it. I took the liberty of "localizing" a well-beloved classic to make it more hip with the contemporary crowd, and I think Warring States Randy could catch on in the West now.

Occasionally r/visualnovels produces a banger and the only thing you can do is stand in awe from afar.

One of the most interesting parts of Ryukishi07's work that I don't see too much discussion around is how it being released over a period of months in several parts influenced how the work came together as a whole. The works are always presented as just Umineko or Higurashi.

Perhaps it's due to how the Japanese reaction to his works is hidden behind a language barrier, and due to most english fans coming across it after it's come out as an omnibus. A great example is the reaction to Tsumihoroboshi chronicled here. 0707toshokan.wordpress.com/2…

You see a bit more of an analysis in regard to the author and the reader with a work such as Umineko, and you even get people reflecting on the works being written by different authors in a narrative sense, but there doesn't exist too much about it in the meta sense.
