Yes we need these. But most important one is a boring machine to drill the ass of politicians and govt employees right from top to bottom. Make it so big that they can't digest corrupt money.

They already have an assembly unit in Chennai, TN. So most likely expansion of this unit only in Chennai. But of course since it's TN this handle will not mention that 🙃

Let them first set up, then u celebrate. In the meanwhile GoI should invest in enhancing the lab facilities for metallurgy and material science students starting from Bachelors level. GoI should also facilitate and catalyze industry-Academia interactions for HR development.

Germans are long term partner. Bharat should ignore half hearted democracy efforts to tick box US compliance and strengthen Euro currency.

Result of a conversation between Goyal and his German counterpart on a train in India. The Germans were staggered to learn that the Chinese had sanctioned Herrenknecht TBM exports to India.

🇩🇪 Herrenknecht’s Move to Set Up Manufacturing in India 👉 Background: German tunnel boring machine (TBM) manufacturer Herrenknecht faced export delays from China, with at least three TBMs held up at Chinese ports. This disruption impacted critical infrastructure projects in India, including metro and bullet train developments. 👉 Strategic Shift: In response to these challenges, Herrenknecht has decided to establish production facilities in India. This move aims to mitigate future supply chain risks and align with India’s growing infrastructure needs. 👉 Location: The company plans to set up its manufacturing units in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 👉 Investment Details: Herrenknecht’s expansion in India is part of a broader investment initiative, with the Tamil Nadu government securing investment commitments worth ₹7,020 crore from various companies, including Herrenknecht. 👉 Production Capabilities: The Chennai facility will produce TBMs with diameters up to 15.62 meters, making them among the largest in India. 👉 Economic Implications: This move is expected to create significant employment opportunities and bolster local manufacturing capabilities in the tunneling sector. 👉 Broader Impact: Herrenknecht’s decision underscores the importance of diversifying supply chains and aligning with local manufacturing initiatives to ensure the timely execution of infrastructure projects. ⸻ #Herrenknecht #TunnelBoringMachines #InfrastructureIndia #MakeInIndia #ChennaiManufacturing #SupplyChainDiversification #TamilNaduInvestment
