Caicedo’s so ass on defensive transition for a DM. We need to target a partner for him that excels in defensive transition. So many fouls he gives away and he’s not quick at all.

Nah this is just fact whether he plays every game or once a week. He’s not quick and doesn’t cover ground well on defensive transition, always gives away silly fouls in his own half.

not a caicedo issue. maresca's setup has him covering acres of space EVERY game. he is human, so of course he won't be able to do it all the time.

As was Kante... that is what happens with ball winning defensive midfielders, they roam around a lot and that costs during transitions. We need a sitting DM. Kante needed Matic, Caicedo needs a sitting DM and no, that's not Lavia. Lavia will be sitting on a hospital bed!
