I’m not much for Twitter these days and in general have mostly just been doing Insta for pics of all my friends and their lovely families.

Thank you, CD5. Our hard work was worth it. We knocked on 117,716 doors. We made 108,226 calls. And we sent 147,323 texts. This is a victory for ALL of us who believe that a better future is possible. I can’t wait to make you all proud over the next two years.
For the first time in history, the United States has a sitting congressperson who is transgender. Congratulations to Sarah McBride, whose race was just called by MSNBC. She wins in a year where a historic amount of anti-trans ads were blared across TV screens in America.

It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today: – Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.  – Don’t share things before checking your sources.  – Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
Honestly, it sounds to me like this company has a hiring process issue, not a regional issue. Good people are everywhere, including Silicon Valley. It’s up to your hiring process to find the best ones for your company.
I was having drinks with a founder buddy last night (200+ person org, $80m ARR) and they've now implemented a "no Bay Area sales talent (AEs, leaders)" policy after contending with unending amounts of entitlement, whining, and low integrity behavior. Midwest, mountain west, south, and northeast only now. It started with Google's monopoly money eroding the performance tempo of the entire engineering strata of the Valley, then started leaking into other functions, before ZIRP sprayed it across everyone. It's going to be a while before this resets.

Adding this pic tho (llama walk was Jimmy’s idea)
Every @authzed offsite is the best one yet! Upstate NY was beautiful during the season change and the perfect place for the team to have a blast together! (photos excluding the team to respect their privacy)

“We’ll also share updated data on how the percentage of memory safety vulnerabilities in Android dropped from 76% to 24% over 6 years as development shifted to memory safe languages.” It’s not exciting work but it pays in reputation and security. Choose a memory safe language!!
I know yall bellyache about it, but MEMORY SAFE CODE MATTERS. Bravo, @jeffvanderstoep and @ayper and teams! security.googleblog.com/2024…

No matter what happens tomorrow, I'm just happy that so many people have gotten to see how amazing @Tim_Walz is. Infinitely proud to have worked for him (and be the person behind so many of these viral photos/videos of him). Here are a few of my favorite Walz memories 🧵
Can’t wait for people to start calling @GovTimWalz “MVP,” as in, “Minnesotan Vice President”
