Experts also told me that if I got the shot I would not get covid. I did not get the shot and the vaccinated still got covid but not me.

You didn’t speak to an expert who told you that. The vaccination reduced your chance of getting COVID it was never advertised or misrepresented that it would prevent you from catching COVID.
