Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her.
The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.
It was important to her that her funeral be open to all.
For anyone wishing to join us, her funeral will be available as a live link for those watching outside St Mary’s Cathedral or at home.

Hello friends, Ashley here. This weekend is mum’s funeral. I’ll be heading to Edinburgh tomorrow to watch her car travel the royal mile, I’m sure I’ll see some of you there. and then on Saturday her funeral is in Glasgow. You’re all welcome. It’s what she wanted x

Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow. This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured, and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations Doctor Godley.
