It has officially been more than a month since the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) seized control of the ostriches at Universal Ostrich Farms until a decision is made by the Supreme Court of Canada about whether or not they will hear the case.
Over the last month, there have been countless concerning videos and images released of things being done on this farm at the hands of the CFIA.
The family has consistently expressed worries about whether or not the birds are being given adequate access to water, as the farms watering system can be complicated to operate without experience.
This worry was only compounded after the tragic death of Spirit the ostrich, who died severely dehydrated over the course of several days, while under the CFIA’s so-called veterinary care.
