BREAKING: Senator Jon Ossoff, one of Democrats’ most vulnerable incumbents, just voted NO on the shutdown deal, citing opposition to Republican provisions that would raise healthcare costs for millions of Americans.
DC reporters do not know where John Cornyn (R-TX) currently is.
GOP Senators Ron Johnson, Mike Lee and Rick Scott vote yes. John Cornyn (R-TX) has yet to vote

Actually it is now 59…. Senator Cornyn didn’t vote on Friday & is MIA right now. He’s the last vote to determine if the house gets called back in!

The unofficial tally on the Senate cloture vote for the government funding bill stands at 56-40 as of the latest updates. All Democratic senators have voted, but Republicans John Cornyn, Mike Lee, Rick Scott, and Ron Johnson remain undecided or unvoted. The motion requires 60 votes to advance and potentially end the shutdown. My question is… where is our Senator? I know that he’s excited to tell the 4 million Texans on the ACA (roughly 83% receive the tax credit (3.32 million people)), to hell with you, but Sir… where are you?!

The politics are not what the Republicans (and some Democrats) think they are. In this environment, Ossoff is smart to be fighting like hell for affordable health care
Wow — Sen. Ossoff, the most vulnerable Senate Dem, is a no

“What do you say to your colleagues who say this isn't a fight, this is a capitulation?” @SenatorShaheen: “We have a guaranteed vote by a guaranteed date...” 🤷🏼‍♀️

AOC, when they inevitably ask you about this, call Schumer out directly and announce your primary challenge the same day.

If Ossoff can vote no, anyone can. There is zero excuse.

The end of the shutdown is a good thing for the millions of Americans that rely on SNAP benefits, those who were planning on flying next week, those who work for the government and many more.

She just caved and voted for the motion btw
For the Trump Administration, cruelty is a feature — not a bug. The government should make sure families have the ability to get food and thrive. This is incredibly cruel and heartless. nytimes.com/2025/11/09/busin…

Here’s the list of Democrats who caved: ⚫️ Catherine Cortez Masto ⚫️ Dick Durbin ⚫️ John Fetterman ⚫️ Maggie Hassan ⚫️ Tim Kaine ⚫️ Angus King ⚫️ Jackie Rosen ⚫️ Jeanne Shaheen Their excuses don’t hold water. They betrayed all Americans who were counting on them to stand firm.

Sounds like the reception Libertarians gave him in 2024 at our convention.
Pres. Trump became the first commander-in-chief in the stands at a regular-season NFL game since 1978, attending Sunday's Commanders-Lions contest in Landover, Maryland. At halftime, the president read an oath for military members to recite as part of an on-field ceremony.

You aren’t working. for us
Sen. Angus King on why Democrats caved: "It wasn't working."
Jenna Christe retweeted
Absolutely pathetic. I cannot believe we caved to this wannabe dictator and his goons. Thanks to the Democrats who voted no. We’ll remember who bent the knee.

These are the Democratic senators who voted AGAINST ACA subsidies.

Replying to @WinterPolitics1
They didn’t vote against ACA subsidies. They voted for a vote on extending the tax credits. Facts matter🤷‍♀️
Jenna Christe retweeted
And for the record, the ONLY other option Dems had was to keep the govt shut. NOT a great position to be in🤷‍♀️ I get it, people are angry now, but when they sober up, they will empathize with moderate Dems Long story short, the #shutdown has gone long ENOUGH🤷‍♀️

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
