1,000,000% correct. If another elite sporting event could recreate the no-phone rule… I believe it would become a top destination to take corporate partners/prospects.

💯. But I heard earlier in the week they are considering altering their phone policy. Hope it’s just a rumour.

No phones is great, but why are all of the spectators dressed like they’re going to get asked to take a celebrity swing?

I’m a Braves fan with season tickets for the last decade. After several playoff games and the World Series, I would never go to a post-season again. No baseball fans, just social media dorks taking selfies. Phones are the issue making sporting events untenable.

This should be a rule for all public entertainment events….living in that moment is that shared physical space is all there really is.

Yep, if they allowed phones 43% of these folks would be recording, 22% would be staring at their screens, 6% would be on calls or texting.

How enjoyable would it be to turn your phone off for 8 hrs. It must add to the enjoyment of attending this event.

How is it enforced? Honor system at the gate? Or do they actually search people? I've never been unfortunately.
