We will remember them Not just today, but in every quiet moment. In stories passed down, in poppies worn with pride In the silence that speaks louder than words Their courage shaped our peace. Their sacrifice lives on Today & Forever

I've never eaten in a Miller and Carter, it was very nice, Stockport, previously a Toby carvery, but most well known as the Rudyard Hotel. The place to be back in the day..

Each year it is an honour to take part in Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph in London alongside other members of the Royal Family and in front of veterns and their families. Lest We Forget.
I’d go on an adventure with @fatdogsfrance any day. I love her writing and can’t wait for the next book! #bookstoread #welovememoirs #booksworthreading

When the War is over and the sword at last we sheathe, I'm going to keep a jelly-fish and listen to it breathe. When the War is over and we've finished up the show, I'm going to plant a lemon-pip and listen to it grow. ~A.A.Milne #RemembranceSunday

how amazing. I wonder if the 'muse' comes better in such places.
In ten days, I'll be staying at C.S. Lewis's Oxford home, The Kilns, as a short-term Resident Fellow with The C.S. Lewis Foundation. I'll be working on an essay including Lewis in a theory of "Literary Atmosphere" while there. Can't think of a better place to write on this.

Friends! Here we all are - all five of us - asleep on the Big Bed and completely oblivious to the fact that we were temporarily locked out of our account this morning! It took Mum about an hour to figure out how to remove the restriction but she did! Thank you so much to all of you out there who raised the alarm and shouted to let us back in! Especially you @muir373 We are truly grateful to you all. If you haven’t already, please don’t forget to watch today’s video, which is a lovely one! ❤️

Friends! Today’s video on this Remembrance Sunday is special to us. The Teenage One and Mum teach children’s musical theatre lessons and are currently rehearsing with a small group for a Christmas Concert. We thought the song they were practicing this week had such special words that sum up the relationship we have in this house, so Mum recorded the rehearsal to share with you. Listen to the words and you’ll understand. I love listening to children sing 🎶 ❤️
(Amanda) There have been lots of loud banging noises at night in Birmingham lately. Betty says it's because of fireworks. It doesn't bother me too much but I've heard that many pets are really frightened. Why do humans have to do this? What's the point? There are some things I'll never understand.
