Tibet of the Apricots
Baltistan is one of my favourite places in the world. Wedged between Afghanistan and Kashmir, the Balti people who live here still speak an archaic dialect of Tibetan.
Today’s destination: Attock Khurd railway station. Ended up enjoying walking halfway across the Indus bridge just beyond.
These monuments have outlived and outlasted many a generations, becoming vast, silent memory collectors. If only I could listen to the stories they can tell!
In the far north of Pakistan, between towering granite peaks and the quiet flow of the River, lies Gilgit–Baltistan — a region that feels untouched by time.
