As a Jew, and American, and a Conservative there are some obvious and not so obvious points I think the American Jewish community would do well to reflect on.
1 - We don’t have a ton of friends in the U.S. policy space and over the last two years that universe has regretfully shrank.
2 - President Trump has without question been America’s strongest President and during his tenure his policies have been the most pro-Israel of any president since the creation of the state of Israel.
3 - The intellectual core of the conservative movement resides in one organization - the Heritage Foundation and the Foundation over its 50 year tenure Heritage has been a friend of Jews and a friend of the State of Israel.
4 - There is an effort underway - organized, organic, spontaneous, whatever, that is having effect of smearing and crippling Kevin Roberts and will have the outcome of destroying the Heritage Foundation.
5 - American Jews face a choice - whether they want to be part of an effort to burn down Kevin Roberts and the Heritage Foundation or whether they want to be part of the conversation about American public policy going forward.
6 - The ongoing attacks against Heritage and Kevin Roberts - if not quieted - have the very real risk of
1) destroying a historically allied organization,
2) running Dr Roberts, a steadfast friend out town, and
3) alienating the leadership of the MAGA / America First movement which will be governing for the next decade.
Jews on the right have a choice - they can dial back the attacks, stop issuing missives against Heritage and Roberts, and engage in thoughtful and meaningful discussions with Dr. Roberts
Or they can keep their foot on the gas, keep up the attacks and leaks, and cut ties with Heritage and Dr Roberts.
The consequence of the later will be an American Jewish community on the outside without a voice in policy and the impact will be poorer for Americans Jews and for the State of Israel.
The consequence of the former will be hard conversations with a friend who wants to work with us and a seat at the table in the MAGA movement. The outcomes for the American Jewish community and for our friends in the State of Israel will be profoundly better.
Put simply it’s a time for choosing - do you want to self-righteously watch it all burn or do you want to be a part of the building the future with the most important leader and organization on the right?

General Ben, I apologize, but the reasoning should be the opposite. Ukraine, supported by more than 40 countries and 70% of the world's GDP, is still unable to remove the sanctioned Russian forces from its territory.
There have been so many blunders and enthusiastic speeches from many leaders, but they were nothing more than propaganda.
The organizational model of NATO you presided years go, needs reforms.
Regarding Ukraine’s supposed victory, it can be called a defensive victory, but if every outcome is a defeat, then it is meaningless.
If someone invades my house and occupies the kitchen, but I prevent them from taking over the rest of the house, and they end up living in my kitchen, I have been defeated — obviously, and it doesn’t matter what you say.
And this isn’t a defeat for Ukraine, but for the western. No weapons, no victories.
