My friend @JasonMiyaresVA is right. But what he won't say — because he respects his office — is that Democrats in Virginia don't give a damn about the Commonwealth's Constitution. They're calling for the murder of Republicans and our children. They're not going to let the Constitution get in their way.
Virginia Democrats are free to propose changes to the Constitution but cannot violate it to do so. As a Delegate, I crossed party lines to help create Virginia’s independent redistricting process. Now, as Attorney General, my duty is to call balls and strikes, and this one is very clear. Under the state Constitution, the General Assembly must approve a proposed amendment twice, with an election in between those votes. That intervening election exists so Virginians can hold their representatives accountable for how they vote on the proposed change. The next lawful opportunity to amend the Constitution is in 2027, with new maps possible for the 2028 election, if Virginia voters agree.

Oh please! The Drama...!
Democrats see the constitution as an impediment. They're vile, dangerous people & belong no where near power over citizens.

You have lost all credibility after that ridiculous defense of Tucker.

Of course they don’t, which is why they let illegals vote in our elections. There are no real voter id rqts. If you can’t speak English or read your own language you get to have someone come and vote for you

Catch me if you can Disagree, Mr Miyares. Democrats CAN and DO violate the Constitution regularly. Agree, they will not let the Constitution get in their way in their pursuit of tyrannical power.
Democrats in Virginia have zero respect for our laws or Constitution.
You're a certifiably brain dead idiot lemming.
You’re not letting the constitution get in the way of what project 2025 is doing are you? With Christian unleashing a federal police force on the American people under the guys of immigration, that’s a violation of constitutional rights right there.
