DISSIDENT SCIENCE
by Alex Burns (Author) Format: Kindle Edition
Part of: Novice New Journalism (2 books)
Two snapshots of how the 1990s counterculture shaped today's world.
Dissident Science collects two further dispatches from Australia's influential 21CMagazine--and provides a contemporary update from the Australian political scientist Dr Alex Burns.
Weird Science profiles the Cornell University maverick physicist and Trump administration insider Dr Jack Sarfatti at the pivotal time when Project Scanate / Stargate experimental research into remote viewing was first declassified for a bewildered general public.
Drawing on his subsequent experiences in Australian and United States publishing, research, and research administration / management, Dr Burns situates this now influential profile in terms of how United States counterculture evolved in the 1990s from its 1960s-1970s expansion; addresses the late Cold War and Interregnum period diplomacy between the United States and the Soviet Union / Russia during a period of geopolitical risk; and considers the "lessons learned" for clandestine programs in blue sky research for science and technology development.

Towler correctly critiques plane waves for tunneling: use wave packets, allowing transient entry via Q = - (ħ² / 2m) (∇²R)/R fluctuations, with v ≠ 0 during crossing.
But Sharoglazova et al. instead simulate NR reflective step (m_eff > 0), measuring sustained v_x > 0 in evanescent region, rising with -(E - V(x)), contradicting standard BM:
ψ = R exp(i S / ħ), evanescent ψ ∝ exp(-κ x) ⇒ S const. ⇒ v_x = (ħ / m_eff) ∂_x S = 0 for non-tunneling.
Wave packets in E < V reflection show BM bounces sans deep penetration or inverse energy-speed; data needs extensions (Nikolić multi-mode, open-system).
Hiley's relativistic BM (H-atom ground state motion via virtual photons/QFT) exceeds this NR single-particle analog.
Jack's m=0 relativistic objection invalid: paraxial NR simulation, not free photons.

Not important - the paper is no damn good and that was my initial point from my intuition I barely spent 30 seconds on it. My point that v = 0 is a bogus Straw Man objection and that is the truth that Rodal tries to obscure in his gaslighting attempt to ambush UFO disclosure along with Mick West, John Greenwald and others on that team.
The 1952 Bohm theory as up-dated in 2015 by Roderick Sutherland in Sidney Au is the cornerstone of NHI UAP Super Technology which is why Rodal and others are promoting misinformation about even publishing bogus papers in NATURE. Eric Weinstein has warned about this in his remarks about what happened at Chapel Hill back in the early 1950s when I was recruited like Harald Malmgren - see video by Jesse Michels.
Jose should go back to manufacturing paper for Clandenstein Services. ;-) I am pointing to

Rubbish, Jose likes to quibble - this is the key point from Michael Towler that Sabine and the authors of the paper missed. See images below.
The author’s claims are false as Ahmed pointed out in detail.
Psi = Rexp(iS/hbar)
All objections to de Broglie Bohm based on
v = 0
when
GradS = 0
for m =/= 0 are bogus in general.
In the case of the hydrogen atom ground state it’s never an isolated eigenfunction, always a wave packet superposition from interactions so Grad S is never 0 in practice only in an idealized approximation and one can never use the NR m =/= 0 model for photons as shown by papers of Basil Hiley shortly before his recent passing.
PS In the case of tunneling it’s never a sharp plane wave eigenfunction incident on the potential barrier.

:i ∂_z ψ = - (1/(2 m_eff)) ∂_x² ψ + V(x) ψ,
where z ~ time (t = z / v_g),
m_eff = k_0 n / c > 0,
V(x) from cavity tilt.
Bohmian v_x = (1/m_eff) ∂_x S;
evanescent ψ ∝ e^{-κ x} ⇒ S const. ⇒ v_x = 0.
Measured v_x > 0, rises with - (E - V).Dispersion minimal by design; no n → ∞ or relativistic m=0 jump—analog is NR.

This is not the proper forum to go into detail nor do I have the time right now.
Quick comment: What is meant by the photon standing still?Phase speed = c/nn —> infinity does that happen in the experiment?
Or is it group speed?
Signal front speed? - DISPERSION MATTERS!
YOU CANNOT JUMP FROM NR m =/ = 0 to relativity m = 0 case so naively and so incompetently as did the authors of the paper.

The experiment measures photon speeds in an optical analog of quantum tunneling at a potential barrier, revealing an inverse energy-speed relationship (higher speeds in regions of more negative kinetic energy), which contradicts Bohmian mechanics' prediction of zero velocity and no particle entry in classically forbidden zones.
