While Donald Trump has fought relentlessly to keep food off New Yorkers’ tables, families who rely on SNAP can finally breathe a sigh of relief as benefits begin to arrive. I’ll never stop fighting for New Yorkers or holding Republicans in Washington accountable.

Republicans are withholding SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans. Children, seniors, and veterans will go hungry — while Trump hosts a fancy party for his billionaire buddies. It’s absolutely shameful.

FACT CHECK: In July he took $186 billion dollars worth of food assistance from SNAP (the largest cut ever) and gave it to billionaires & greedy CEOs. These guys don't give a shit. They've never gone hungry. They don't even buy their own groceries. What a bunch of frauds.

Trump’s continuing to build his ballroom that will cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars while federal workers get fired, critical services get disrupted, & families see their health care premiums skyrocket. I don’t know what could be a clearer picture of where his priorities lie — and that’s not with the American people.

I just voted NO on the Republican funding bill. Just like the last ten (10!!) times we voted on this exact same bill, it includes absolutely NOTHING to save health care tax credits that millions of Americans rely on.

Donald Trump's effort to deploy troops in American cities is not normal.   There is no rational justification for such a deployment.   It is a breach of the most fundamental values and customs that our armed forces operate on.
