It's been going on a long time. I have plenty to share.
Austin Fire Chief and AFA LT Tom Madison @AFA975 attended a bicycle conference in the Netherlands with @NatashaD1atx in 2019. Perhaps they are worried they won't be able to take trips like this again if Prop A passes? #YesToPropA

If the Texas Rangers are investigating the City of Elgin over potential fraud and abuse of funds, surely they can do it in Austin?

Perhaps the best aspect of Prop Q is that it has revealed the grift, the cronyism, the waste and the outright fraud that Austin elected officials have gotten away with for years with little second guessing.

Could there be a chance that a CAMPAIGN for RE-ELECTION is in the works? Didn't District 8 see this tactic during the council elections for D8 three years ago? Is this the ONLY WAY to get the attention of those not paying attention?

@LoewyLawFirm, love seeing Statesman doing actual reporting. Interesting these city tax increases will have previous paper owners paying an additional" $250k in City of Austin taxes (based on my terrible math and their S Congress property appraised at $260M)

Attn: Ken Paxton. You need to get busy and investigate this Austin criminal council. This is your job, this is the state capitol, and this is in your backyard. We don’t want lip service. We want a thorough investigation, and want transparency. This rathole runs deep.

I notice all the new sidewalks being constructed as I drive by on pothole filled roads. This agenda 21 spending needs to be redirected to efficient projects.

No on Prop Q! We need Austin DOGE to identify the waste, fraud, and abuse. Austin elected officials need to be held accountable for wasting the peoples money!

Try competing for a city contract in this environment.

Because they think they can get away with it, and their sycophantic supporters could care less about tax dollars. Almost certainly, none of it is coming from them. Of course a decent percentage of their support is coming directly from those gaining financial advantage with this thievery. This cycle of corruption cannot and will not end unless the people most affected, taxpayers, get out and vote.

They dole out money and then those groups dole out money to them. It’s all a giant scam.

We need these corrupt officials investigated, and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Not to mention, we want our money back. Heavy fines for criminal activity.

👀🙄😳 Exactly. Glad someone’s finally calling out the ATX council.
Austin is basically a minI DC. Just a bunch of self serving “elected officials” who just want to spend other people’s money

It is my belief that corrupt democrat cities started making up for the lost USAID grift. They are being forced to funnel money from wherever they still have power to keep their corruption scheme going.
