The lesson here, which many within Israeli legal and human rights communities already know for a long time, is that Israel cannot and will not investigate itself. Which is why international probes are necessary. haaretz.com/israel-news/2025…

Israel investigates itself fine, according to typical Western standards. It's just you Israel haters and bigots who didn't trust it.

This woman is clearly mentally ill/She leaked edited footage/Then investigated herself, clearing herself of the leak/Then lied to the supreme court about the leak/Then admitted leaking after being busted in a polygraph/Then resigned/Then faked a suicide/Clearly a troubled person

10 points extra for use of the word probe.

If international = Euro-American, then we can rest assured their findings will be as good as not investigating.

Creating fake cases and saying “we cannot investigate ourselves” when we don’t want to investigate something that doesn’t exist is the mother load of stupidity

I would say every country is the same. Why single out Israel? The UK , US, Russia.

Have you shared this with @dahliasc who still invokes complementarity in service of your shared goal of impunity?

"It was very clear that the entire incident violated orders and regulations," the reserve officer serving in the IDF legal chief's office said. After Tomer-Yerushalmi transferred the case to the IDF's operational investigation mechanism, she said "the incident simply disappeared"

Wait, so the claim is that she refused to initiate investigations but also that she illegally leaked a video to the media? Someone make it make sense.

Blockages, difficulties in investigating human rights violations exist everywhere in the world and especially in major democracies, this is part of their weakness. But only in Israel, a country at war, is the very existence of a threat being questioned from all sides that we see individuals appealing to international organizations whose bias and manipulation by mortal enemies of the JEWISH state are known. Israel has always found in himself the strength to overcome his difficulties ...and his weaknesses

Nah. The lesson here is that people cannot think for themselves. The leak was obviously illegal, but people didn't care, because it wasn't investigated. Things become real to people only when they see it happen on the news.

I was just thinking the same thing about the USA. Trump administration will not investigate itself. We need help from @IntlCrimCourt .

Check with the Likud spokesperson, he knows a lot about Unit 100 — another one who supports rapists. @levyguy77

Here I thought releasing doctored video to blacken the name of suspects has negative consequences was the lesson.

israel should not exist. leave palestine and go back to where Zonszeins (ew) come from.

🤣🤣🤣🤡
International probe teams must be thoroughly vetted first because Israel infiltrates all investigative and judicial bodies to ensure its wrongdoings are not exposed or held accounted for
Replying to @MairavZ
But how do we deal with the biases of international probes itself? Since 1982, committees after committees at international level have emerged which hv been dominated by pro-palestinian activists who project themselves as independent folks. How to deal with that?
