This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working. We need new leaders in the Senate.

Americans can’t afford this deal. Democrats can fight AND win — just like we did in our budget battle in Michigan. A promise isn’t a deal. Don’t settle.

Just like Donald Trump, when Mike Rogers loses he claims it must be rigged. Michigan deserves better.

UA Local 333 has expanded their apprenticeship program from dozens to hundreds in a matter of years. As a State Senator, I’ve helped fund their expansion, creating new opportunities for the growing demand. And to watch that funding come to life at their new facility in Lansing is a sight to see.

Farmers and families in the UP are doing everything right, but are being held back when the government creates too many hurdles and not enough pathways.  Thanks to Dan and Amy Jere for the candid conversation at Jere Farms – and a downright delicious meal.

Trump is withholding funding that’s *already there* for SNAP. They’re using hunger as a political weapon by choice. While federal Republicans willingly let kids go hungry, we passed $70M in the State Senate to do what we can. But we need you. Call your federal officials at 202-224-3121 and tell them to release the SNAP funding.
