French fishermen are sending fishing nets to Ukraine to protect against Russian drones.
Fishermen from the coast of Brittany have created a charitable organization, Kernic Solidarités, to aid Ukraine. They have already sent two shipments of horsehair fishing nets, totaling 280 km in length, according to The Guardian.
These fishing nets serve as anti-drone protection near the front lines.
“They are proud that their used nets will help save lives,” said Jean-Jacques Tangi, former president of the Finistère Fisheries Committee.
Fishermen from Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Norway, and Finland have also been sending nets for some time.
Thank you for supporting Ukraine!
