Everything is too expensive and Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have decided to make things worse by hiking up the Local Property Tax. This will add hundreds of euro to some bills. This is what the government does when people are already under pressure with rip off prices and out of control costs. They need to stop. We need to make life affordable for workers and families. Taxing the family home is wrong. So instead of hiking up bills they should scrap the Local Property Tax.

This is your policy, push your country into recession and make everyone poor.
Norway's wealth tax increase, expected to raise $146M, led to a $448M net loss as $54B in wealth left the country, reducing tax revenue by $594M. citizenx.com/insights/norway…

The answer is quite obvious. Dont be FF & FG and run for government and run on: • Deporting foreign criminals/illegals • Lowering Housing • A closed border Quite easy. That is the way to victory.

Local Property Tax is good. You're not really a left wing party if you are against this our only tax on wealth. I am damn glad to pay it.

This tax definitely needs to go. The USC is the appropriate way to tackle the problem of those who have more, pay more. But no civil servant or legal wants that. Property tax increases rents too, as landlords pass it on. Need a major reduction in NGOs, advisors & state legals

It's not only how they get it it's how they spend it. Eventually instead of taxes paying for public services they serivce government irresponsibilty.

Should be no property tax on a family home. This was brought in after the last recession when we bailed out the banks ! It along with USC should be gone. Economics tells us that if you tax less on earnings, spend increases and tax in other less intrusive areas flourish.

I've never seen such a dramatic turn in opinion for a political party in my lifetime as I have for Sharia Féin, this past couple of years in particular. I voted SF but I'll never do it again and nodoby I know will either. Nothing is worse than the betrayers of Ireland 🇮🇪

I have no problem with the property tax it's the carbon tax which drives up the price of everything that's the problem

They have 3.6 billion cost of illegal economic migrant bill to pay Mary Lou. Now imagine if we didn’t have that bill. We could cut taxes for our workers.

You welcomed a demand increase which led to increase of housing prices across the country. You're part of those sky high prices.

If / when SF ever get into government expect property taxes to quadruple to pay for the migrants they'll bring in to replace us
Replying to @MaryLouMcDonald
I wouldn't mind paying property tax if it paid for the bins and amenities in my constituency. But it goes into a central pot and divvied up and small villages like mine are forgotten about. It looks like most of it goes to Dublin city centre for virtue signalling projects.
