You can’t praise “essential workers” one year and call them lazy the next for needing SNAP or Medicaid to survive. Those folks; the servers, the teachers, the grocery clerks, the factory workers, they’re the ones who make this country run. They pay taxes like everyone else, and they deserve more than shame and scraps. If Americans are too “good” for so-called low-wage jobs, then who exactly is supposed to do them? Slaves again? Because that’s where this rhetoric always leads. The problem isn’t the people trying to survive, it’s the fucking government and the class of elites defending a system that only works for them.
