I think it would be cool to ask chatgpt something like
"when are c02 levels highest in my house"
and have a conversation using actual data points from an iot device
and having a UI to visualize it while you're talking would make better
this example i showed is useless, it was just for attention, obviously no one should ask chatgpt if their house is on fire
HOWEVER:
i ask chatgpt if my home is on fire, it sends a request to my edge function that responds with data and a react component
chat gpt can use any data points for the chat, and it renders the html,css,js widget which gives a nice ui with realtime updates
i'm using a supabase edge function as an mcp server that can be called by chat gpt
it's using the openai.com/index/introducing… to serve up some basic react components that are using supabase-js
so it's basically a react app inside of chatgpt using supabase-js for realtime
a lot of people asking how this works 🧵:
it's a raspberry pi pico connected to:
* SCD40 sensor for temp, humidity, and co2
* LM393 IR sensor to detect fire
it uses supabase to store the sensor datapoints in postgres every second
