A weird little paravian, RT's stuff about biology. Home of tolerable (at best) art.

I sincerely hope we don't return to an artistic style like SV's
Even beyond the difference in style, with SV going for a more realistic art style for the Pokémon, the colour contrast difference between Z-A and SV is also massive. Not sure which I prefer to be honest

The realistic textures just don't work in pokemon, imo. Specially if they keel the same models. Like so many important shapes are made of hairs split up in weird impossible ways, if you put a realistic texture over it, it'll look like a plushie with fur, not an alive creature

Me to myself: "dude, please you are sleep deprived and you have a lot of work to be done with, no time to mess around." Me, succumbing to my impulsive thoughts:

Back to the skies of the Kem Kem, we find one of the many toothed pterosaurs of the region, Siroccopteryx! This critter has somewhat modestly sized teeth compared to it's cousins, and I've illustrated it here with a speculative crest. Size comparison below ⬇️

And here we go, result from the Judith River Formation #paleostream! This late Cretaceous formation might be full of charismatic megafauna but it is currently understudied and a total mess when it comes to stratigraphy. In this scene I wanted to focus on two aspects...

Madtsoia, a long lived genus of snake constituting 4 species. The two Maastrichtian species were, as far as I’m aware, the largest Mesozoic snakes, measuring 5-8 meters in length depending on which.

No I will not apologize for mostly posting PhP Ice Age. But I just wanted to say, I love how you can actually distinguish elephant bird from moa just from their head shapes. It can be hard telling apart two big flightless birds w/ no/vestigial wings. The models are that good.
