Imagine asking permission to starve millions of Americans and then be called the leader of the free world… This isn’t political savvy. It’s not complicated or nuanced. It’s right or wrong. It’s good or bad. The world is watching and will remember.

California voters stood up to those who would silence Black voices and undermine our democracy. With the passage of Proposition 50, Californians made it clear: our vote is our voice, and we will not be silenced.
🗳️ Victory for Democracy! Prop 50 passes in California—a resounding Yes to equity, justice, and protecting Black and Brown representation. While states like Texas try to rig maps and silence communities of color, California voters stood strong and made their voices heard. 💪🏽✊🏾

#ElectionDay is here! 🗳️ While there are no Congressional or presidential races, today's elections are no less important. Local races have the power to shape our communities daily, like the governor races in Virginia & New Jersey and mayoral races in places like New York. Plus, California voters have a chance to stand up against election rigging. We’re keeping close watch nationwide to ensure everyone can vote freely. Stay tuned for updates for us, by us throughout the day. naacp.org/articles/NAACP-ele…
