How many fake Indian doctors are practicing in the United States?
Police in Cachar, India have arrested another fake Doctor, this is the 18th arrest in the last 3 months. Police seized forged documents and fake degrees. In 2016, the World Health Organization published a report where it found that 57.3% of Indian Doctors are fake.

There are probably many. There were several caught in Australia that I know of and that's probably only a drop in the bucket.

This is terrifying. I thought all doctors have to take the same board exam to practice in the states, including foreign trained physicians.

All of them. I would never see a Patel Dr, one failed to diagnose me decades ago.

If they didn't get a degree here then they shouldn't be qualified to practice here

Notice how filthy his shirt is? Hey Doc… what’s your thoughts on this “Doctor’s” hygiene? @DrRepatriator

I'm convinced if doctors in my area had to take a proficiency exam MOST would fail. I can't count how many times a doctor has said one thing to me, only to find out the truth is the exact opposite.

I’d say 95%. They hand us WebMD printouts at office visits.

All of them are unqualified when compared to the American curriculum, though everyone pulling the strings of America's collapse is well aware of this fact

Just about none because you can't just be a doctor in India and then work as a doctor in the U.S. They need to pass the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), obtain the certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), and complete a U.S. residency program before they can practice in the United States.

Insanity. Just dealt with Indian dr in AZ who sped through diagnosis, raced away from any inquiries on patients diagnosis, leaving me questioning the legitimacy of the failing US Healthcare system once again.

Probably not as many the fake engineers, teachers, truck drivers, and so on.

They apply for hospital jobs and always say "I was doctor in india." I'd say, seek & you shall find.

Good lord. If a “doctor” walked into the room wearing that filthy shirt, I’d run for my life.

In Florida, we are flooded with foreign trained doctors. They come in on a temporary status and set up practice without residency required of American medical students. Consequently, our health care is terrible. medpagetoday.com/special-rep…

Everyone knows 10+ fancy pieces of paper on the wall makes you a doctor. That's just how it works.

I guess it won't be news for most of you, but foreign countries have industries whose revenue are coming from scamming Western countries. They know what is needed to get benefits and forge all the needed papers to get them. Often without setting foot here.

I’m not sure how many fakes there are but I’ve been avoiding Indian doctors for years, even before their invasion of my city. I’ve never had a good Indian doctor. Rude, dismissive, arrogant to the max. I’d trust an American NP/PA before an Indian MD.

All hospitals and universities hired front line Indians (Emergency rooms, surgery rooms, Tufts Dental) and more...
