Heads up to the folks who follow me on Patreon (link in bio) Both the complete BO6 Revolver Ocelot video and the first 15 minutes of "How I Saved the World" is up on the Patreon now. Both are videos I'm really proud of, here's a sneak peak of the second video I shared earlier.

Hope the original can come back soon and Vondy gets released from Twitter Hell. The original reactions to the video were funny as shit and not being able to see them easily is this generations Library of Alexandria.

while we're speaking of the HUD, one element I really wish they didnt remove was being able to easily see if your team has a self-revive or not. Sure you could just ask, but I feel that goes for the other information about your teammates the game gives you like points/armor.

Do you guys remember those old Black Ops 1/2 bundles they did around the time of BO3's release? I wonder if we'll see them do something similar for Black Ops 6/7 after MW4 releases since both games are so similar. It'd be kinda neat.

So here are the current plans for BO7. At midnight when the game launches globally I will be live playing the co-op campaign with @FlawlessTrickss and @UnkindledAsh_OW. Then at 1PM EST on the 14th, I will go live to hunt the main quest of Ashes along with achievement hunting.

How long until he has another meltdown where he blames wokeness or some shit for people calling him out for defending a actual predator who would've copped a charge if not for the fact Wren blackmailed him so the statue of limitations has passed.

That being said, I do think SOE/DOTN are too far in complex department, even with it being guided. Having such a long and tedious setup can hurt replayablity just as badly as having a boring non-existant setup.

It's something I'd like Treyarch to at least attempt to do in BO7 as I feel like now that they've perfected the core gameplay they should try and expierment with the formula a bit more. Give us harder quests/in-map progression to balance out the Obj Markers and Directed Mode.

Its kinda hard to judge how badly a more complicated PAP quest would be now that it's so hand-holdy anyway so new players can always get the PAP machine. If there was objective markers guiding you through the rituals maybe players wouldnt have hated it.

Honestly when I first saw this tweet I thought it was the dumbest thing because I remember how badly the SOE Quest was recieved. How so many of my friends wouldnt play BO3 because of how convoluted SOE was. But now with shit like objective markers, I think it COULD work.
I think it is the perfect time for another Shadows of Evil level of Pack-A-Punch quest! In fact, I think we need it. But, I think it's important to understand the pros and cons when talking about "complexity" and "depth" in Zombie maps. It's controversial, but this is a very real comment that does a great job of showcasing how these long quests can turn off players and even lead to less replayability. Because the "setup" process on maps like Shadows or Zetsubou is so "rich", you need to commit more of your time and mental energy to play them. Which, when looking at the long-term longevity of the game, is fantastic. But it can, and did, result in some short-term discouragement and burnout. As much as we love Shadows now, we were ALL playing The Giant at launch. And when Der Eisendrache (and Gorod) released, people rejoiced that it had a simple power switch. Again, the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction lately (too far, in my opinion), and I think it is the perfect time to have a more complex Pack-A-Punch quest. But of course, I love talking about this stuff! 😀

The article also mentions Vault Edition having "zombies exclusive mastercraft" which we know isn't true. This article was full of errors and idky so many people decided to ignore them and treat the 72-hour early access line as gospel when it was clearly another error.
As an update, the Forbes Article on #BlackOps7 has REMOVED all mention of Early Access: 💥 Additionally, Activision has confirmed that November 14th is the launch date yesterday. BUT there is still some info wrong, like ‘Early Blackcell Access’ 😭

When it comes to Zombies HUDs, there are 3 main aspects of them which I think is important to specify when criticizing them. • Layout (position of each widget) • Theme (color & visual style) • Design (shapes, sizes, & the layout of each item within each widget) In terms of layout, problems with this are *mostly* solved with HUD customization. Obviously it's not perfect, there's still some additional settings and fixes Treyarch should make... ‣ Separating Medals & Notifications ‣ Separating Regular Zombie Healthbars & Special Enemy Healthbars ‣ Ability to move where the "version number" appears on the screen (wish we could get rid of it entirely) ‣ Option to have the "location name" appear on the screen somewhere, even if the compass is disabled. ‣ Classic Score Feed should be available in Standard as well (so glad it's at least in Cursed though) For the theme, this has been a problem for the past 4 Zombies Modes, where the theme was the exact same as MP/Warzone. Treyarch is attempting to fix this issue by giving players the option to change their HUD theme with a variety of choices. These changes can work in MP & Zombies. Some of them *might* change the design of the widgets too, but the one they showed off recently (the Aetherium theme) does not change the design, it just changes the color and adds some purple lines. As much as I would've preferred they just make a unique HUD for each map that must be used for that map, here's what I hope they do for BO7 going forward... ‣ Each DLC map should have HUD theme specifically made for the map and released with that map, and players should have the option to auto-select the HUD theme that fits each map, so players don't have to keep changing their HUD theme in the settings when they switch between maps. ‣ HUD themes should also change the theme of the perk icons. For the design, this is what most people are frustrated with. It does seem like some of the HUD themes *might* change the design too, but we haven't seen any of those officially yet, we've only seen a few leaks concepts of them. It's probably too late for a full HUD re-design by default, but I hope they can add HUD themes for future maps that DO change the design significantly into a more unique look. These are some overall changes I hope they make... ‣ Remove the "gun icon", we don't need to see what weapon we are holding ‣ The player health & points widget should be significantly smaller instead of bulging out so far. ‣ The "interact UI" needs to be significantly changed. This is the UI element that pops up whenever you have the ability to interact or pick up something. It's way too blocky and big, the size and shape needs to be resized. ‣ The inventory or "scoreboard" UI could be a lot more interesting and I do wish they were map-unique like they were in Infinite Warfare Zombies. Overall, I do think Zombies HUDs have been getting better since Black Ops Cold War. They've made tons of improvements since then. But it still doesn't feel like they've gotten close to as good as how HUDs used to be in the BO2-BO4 era of Zombies (excluding BO4 because despite that HUD being very unique, it wasn't very good)
