You’ll be supported every step of the way - from application to when you’re back disseminating the work you’ve done to then moving to support the next year’s scholars.
When you’re away you’ll be supported by regular WhatsApp messages from former scholars who all have top tips and places to stay recommendations. Plus you might even bump into a fellow scholar in a Greyhound station like Gareth and Angelina in 2017 and countless others!🚍
The scholarship is also a network. Find and make new friends who can support your project and offer advice for your time in the US and for when you return to share your findings. Want to apply? Then click here rooseveltscholarship.org
With the support of both local authorities (@MyNottingham & @NottsCC) the research of our scholars can reach right across Nottinghamshire, from Awsworth to Zouch (yes, there’s a place in Notts called Zouch)
Are you ready to start your journey to go on the trip of a lifetime? @NottsRoosevelt are offering scholarships to people living/working in Notts aged 21-35. Make your dream trip a reality… rooseveltscholarship.org

✈️ Leah has since explored Washington DC, Philadelphia and Virginia and has plans to head over to the West Coast! What an incredible start for Leah!

🗣️ With Amelia being a Violinist, and Co-founder & Administrative Director of Repast Baroque Ensemble we are sure they had plenty to discuss as Leah’s project explores the impact individual artists, creative community arts organisations and groups have on their local communities

I haven't found the answer yet to my question of how we find healing and if it's even possible, but I am pretty sure it starts with remembering and with community. Montgomery is teaching me a lot.

Overwhelmed by my visit to @CivilRightsCntr which tells the stories of those killed during the Civil Rights movement and connects the dots to our current battles. So much pain, sacrifice, inspiration and hope... Storytelling & remembrance matters. #TheMarchContinues

How is library staff always so amazing everywhere?! Had the most inspiring afternoon in Nashville Public Library, listening in on a session on Nashville's role in the Civil Rights movement. @NowatNPL your special collections team is so awesome! Libraries are so powerful ❤️

Been amazing to get some American experiences! Broadway show, county fair, country music in Nashville, basket ball, a road trip, & a LOT of food. I've been taught American slang, shown American grocery stores & reminded many times to not ask for biscuits when I want 'cookies' 😅
