BBC Director General RESIGNS after accusations of ‘serious and systemic’ bias in news reporting over Trump, Israel and trans topics.
Tim Davie has quit amid multiple scandals at the BBC, with the broadcaster preparing to apologize for its editing of a Trump interview which ‘misled’ viewers and sparked outrage.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed the network for being “100% fake news” and a “propaganda machine” over the way it edited a speech by President Trump.
The programme showed Trump saying he would walk with his supporters to the Capitol before the protests on 6 January 2021, urging them to “fight like hell”.
However, it omitted a section of the speech where Trump urged the crowd “to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”.
The head of BBC News Deborah Turness has also resigned.
The broadcaster has been repeatedly accused of biased reporting, particularly with its anti-israel coverage on the war in Gaza.
