What happened last Tuesday?
A quick assessment
—Colonel (Retired) John Mills
We are going to focus on Virginia, but let’s do a quick review of two other races.
New Jersey: A lot of hype on “closeness” of the race. In reality, with high numbers of non-18USC611 voters on the rolls, it was a fait accompli from the beginning.
New York City: The GOP is dead in NYC and needs to MAGA-fy itself. Being Big City Mitt Romneys who want to play the “I’m just like the Blue Team, just slightly more conservative” is a one-way ticket to Palooka-ville (with a $300 haircut). The 18USC611 situation is enormous in NYC, and yet no one dared to broach the topic. Fait accompli Version 2.0
Virginia:
So many things to talk about - but most point to a largely feckless State and County GOP operation.
Here are the highlights:
1. Absurd failure of Youngkin/Miyares Team to follow through on their October 2024 SCOTUS win on removing unlawful voters from the rolls.

I frankly don’t know what to say about this. In Prince William County, there are roughly 350,000 voters. Using the math from a 2019 FOIA to the Clerk of the Court, the likely number of unlawful voters on the rolls are 30,000 - 50,000 (erring on the low side). The vote difference state wide was 500,000 in favor of Spanberger.

500,000 unlawful voters on the Virginia rolls is not an unrealistic estimate. What did the Republican leader of the Virginia Department of Elections do to pursue truth on this? Very little, but she did ensure County/City Election Commissions (led by Republicans) were denied access to the voting rolls to help them eliminate unlawful voters from the County Election Rolls.
2. Governor Youngkin anointing Winsome Sears as the Gubernatorial GOP Candidate. This was even worse than Rank Ordered Voting.
3. Winsome Sears couldn’t figure out who she was and what she offered Virginia. She is not MAGA, doesn’t like Trump, and her “Axe the Tax” theme was sophomoric. How many Black or Latino Churches and groups did she visit during the campaign? Was she campaigning at all? Spanberger couldn’t answer basic questions on her position on Transgenderism and came across hyper-progressive, anti-family, and big government. Yet Sears outperformed Spanberger on unclear messages and themes.
4. Most of the 130 or so County/City Election Registrars are Blue aligned, have Soros backgrounds, and are hiding the numbers of unlawful voters on their rolls. Yet how many Registrars were fired by the Republican controlled County/City Electoral Boards? I think the answer is zero.
5. The issue in Virginia are untrusted election rolls. With states such as New York and California giving out “No Name Given” RealID Driver’s Licenses, it is now clear the Federal RealID law is being willfully circumvented. To what depth has Virginia created an auditable, transparent system to ensure all voters on the rolls are lawful voters? The Republican led Department of Elections and county/city Electoral Boards did little to build or demonstrate a trusted election roll in Virginia.
6. In Virginia, the State and County GOP operations are for the most part, filled with Mitt Romney types who want the titles, are not MAGA minded, don’t want to fight, and have ceded elections to the Democrats.
7. It will be a crazy four years in Virginia. Spanberger and the State Legislature will push for Transgenderism, gun grabs, and build an even larger economic dependency on Federal spending. Virginia will become a very business unfriendly state, but camouflage it as best they can with Federal largesse.
8. The Virginia GOP greased the skids for Spanberger and crew to reap chaos.
What happened on Tuesday was not a tectonic shift against President Trump. It was largely a result of failed or failing GOP operations.
It is recoverable, however elections have consequences and stolen elections have catastrophic consequences.
Buckle up.
