Time for Part 2! Every major action theme released since Ninjago's inception was always created with the intention of replacing it, yet Ninjago still survives. LEGO DreamZzz is the latest of these, so how does it compare to Ninjago? Can it actually make it happen? Let's look...
It’s time to finally have this conversation, & it’s not gonna be a fun one. So many signs lead to the idea that LEGO DreamZzz was always doomed to fail. But why?!? Let’s explore the sign that brought this conversation into motion with the 1st part of this new series:

Throwback Set of the Week LEGO Galaxy Squad Vermin Vaporizer Pros: -The modern builder can't comprehend an attack tank that's actually a science lab controlled by a rover carrying a fully armed mech -Yes, the mech & rover BOTH eject -All separated builds feel complete

People talking about the Blacksmith Shop as if the price is terrible are going to turn me into the Joker
2025 Set of the Day LEGO Marvel Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene Pros: -TOOK THEM LONG ENOUGH -Loaded with accessories to convey more action Cons: -JJJ & May add value, but they need more love -$55 to take advantage of casual shoppers not knowing the value it should be

At its root, this is an issue LEGO themselves have caused. By offering so many sets where build & part value are there, but price is not, the general public is wired to call even the best values overpriced out of habit. Doesn’t matter if saying so is verifiably illogical

You would require a massive-sized build to give larger parts an interesting build process The 2007 MTT proves this, but don’t act like LEGO wouldn’t be charging you $200+ for it if it released today Yes, the 2025 MTT’s price is disgusting, but you can use its parts for anything

Arguing dense LEGO builds made of smaller parts are a rip-off is hilarious. Large elements have less reuse versatility & cost LEGO more to make. Larger parts mean less parts in a set, making a less exciting build. Price wouldn’t change, you’d just pay more for less value.
As a plus, at least stickers are less costly to fix, so it’s likely future production runs of the set will feature a fix You’ll likely be able to request a new sticker sheet with the update once the change has finally hit shelves, should you choose to still pick it up day 1

The LEGO Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D opts for a quote plaque with a typo on it (it’s a sticker) inside, rather than imply a deck of some kind. Not even in microscale This despite having room for at least the latter
2025 Set of the Day LEGO Icons U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D Pros: -Incredible shaping -Somehow manages to balance on a stand despite it all Cons: -Minifig heavy yet there is nowhere to put them inside -Off-colored stickers abound -The value just isn’t there for $400
Just to add to that last bit. From a marketing perspective, silence leads to the general audience forgetting something exists. It is the worst thing they could do if the plan is to bring it back Silence normally means they want it to die quietly Will you allow that? Say something

For the record: Actors have been on the hot mic saying it’s done. Writing & animation change reactions last season were bad. LEGOLAND prevalence means very little (see Chima waterpark) If LEGO intends for LMK to continue, they would’ve communicated their intentions (see Vidiyo)

I finally rest… and watch the sun rise on a grateful LEGO Ninjago community
#WeWantAccurateLegacyMinifigs is a call to action. To bring this community together, asking the designers of our favorite ninja, to respecting the legacy their product should be embracing. Here's a vid on the subject: piped.video/xWTZz6WaH-k
