If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me.

A good friend made this for me and it's probably the best bio I could have.

Grabbed some wild poppy seeds to show the boy how the seed pods work today. I'd planned to just scatter them in the hedgerows once we'd taken a look but now I have a pocket full of seeds and I've agreed to plant them with him after school. (he loves them because they are yellow)

the masculine urge to get all the data from the db in a single trip
I hate the trade off of, I should keep all the logic in the code and out of the database vs I can do that in SQL and save a trip to the database.

Met a little kid with a toy guitar today so I gave him a guitar pick and said "Keep practicing!" Hoping his mum doesn't read too much into the fact that it was a Mick Thomson signature

Nothing makes you appreciate IKEA furniture like trying to assemble flat pack from somewhere else. Poka-yoke designs so if you really do get into a corner it's probably more a room/furniture interaction (you've assembled it and now it won't turn around in your space)
Unpopular opinion but IKEA furniture is extremely easy to put together and the people who say it's hard or confusing are just not that sharp

Naive implementation- a tube with a shoulder, and a hole
Design thought of the day- is it really so hard to put a lever on the end of a wheelchair ramp? It would need to be removable or foldable, but just some basic mechanical advantage

Small DIY jobs have got a lot easier since first putting these up, mostly by dint of accumulating stuff that solves problems
