Excuse me, what? How tf are you supposed to buy a house if you can't make a transaction over 10k? How are businesses supposed to make large transactions?
Replying to @Pirat_Nation
And how are you supposed to buy a car? Smells like we're missing some context here.

Can I make multiple 2999 Euro transactions instead?

In France you are not allowed to make such large transactions, can’t remember the limit, could be 2 or 3k max, it has to be digital via bank 😭

Dafuq does that mean? You can’t enforce it on-chain. If you are talking about crypto off-ramp then it’s already like that!

this is because taxes are completely out of control in Europe so everyone is lying about their income

It's never too late to self-custody peer-to-peer crypto transactions. Banning cash transactions is insane.

Life in the EU must be horrible these days. Feels like rampant oppression on several fronts.

The future is P2P and self-custodial

Is that why ZEC is going bonkers?
Replying to @Pirat_Nation
Guess that leaves mining your own XMR as the only option.

Wow, working 8 hours a day, paying taxes, and they still won’t allow you to spend your after-tax money the way you want. Is this freedom?

Seems EU wants to stay in the digital darkages while the rest of the world is embracing digital finance. Do the people of Europe really want this?

Absolutely not. The government should not have any control over your money or how or where you choose to spend it. Insanity.

What's the point of adding two useless pictures, can you add a source instead?

Remember when WWII was fought to "free" Europe? 😄🤷‍♂️

There's no such thing as "cash transactions". You either pay with cash OR you have your bank transfer the money. In the case of the bank it's called "bank transaction". Cash payments aren't transactions you can somehow get documented.

They call it “security,” but what they’re really banning is financial privacy.
