The officer was punished (placed on administrative leave for an unknown amount of time) for making and distributing the unauthorized coin. The coin's distribution took place within weeks of the USSS closing the case in 11 days. Many rank-and-file Secret Service agents and UD officers are still angry that they were forced to close the investigation in such a short time + destroy the evidence, as I previously reported. "It made us look inept," one source told me. @FBIDDBongino has re-opened the investigation and is gaining key information, sources tell @RCPolitics -- some of which I have previously reported. The results of a new Palestinian public opinion survey have just been released by the PCPSR. Here are some of the key takeaways: 🔸️Overall, 53% of Palestinians say the decision by Hamas to launch the October 7 attack was correct. 🔸️Overall satisfaction with Hamas’s performance is 60% (66% in the West Bank; 51% in the Gaza Strip). 🔸️When asked which political party people support: 35% said Hamas, 24% said Fatah, 32% said they either support none or don’t know. 🔸️If legislative elections were held “today” (with all forces participating), among likely voters: 44% would vote for Hamas, 30% for Fatah, 10% other, 16% undecided. 🔸️In a hypothetical presidential race between Hamas (via Khalid Mishal) and Abbas, the Hamas candidate draws 63% vs Abbas at 27%. 🔸️The poll also finds that over the last two years support for Hamas has increased (19% said their support increased a lot; 17% a little) rather than decreased.
