REFORM SCHOOL ('39) had been considered a “lost film” for many years until a 16mm print was donated by Giancarlo Esposito and Laurence Fishburne to the Academy Film Archive, who restored it in conjunction with the National Endowment for the Arts.

Some of the civil rights marchers at the brutal "Bloody Sunday" beatings in 1965 were cast as extras in SELMA's (2014) pivotal scene on Edmund Pettus Bridge. Actor David Oyelowo explains what it was like to shoot the scene in @ava's film with @ProfJStewart at the @AcademyMuseum.
