This is a lie. Yesterday, Republicans blocked a bill I cosponsored that would have paid our service members and all federal workers.
They could stop health care premiums from doubling and reopen the government today, but they’re choosing higher costs and a shutdown.
Democrats like @CaptMarkKelly and @RubenGallego are now refusing to allow our men and women to be paid during their shutdown. This is unacceptable and a disservice to those who defend our freedoms!
They deserve better - and they deserve their paychecks!
You and the Democrats keep voting NO to funding the government.
You and the democrats OWN the shut down.
And the American People know it.
I know so many life-long democrats in civil service jobs, that are now saying:
"f---k the Democrats,
I'm voting Republican"
People are not fooled.
