The path to hopefully ending the 40-day shutdown:
✅ Pass three year-long appropriations bills (regular order!)
✅ Extend the current clean, nonpartisan CR deadline to make room for more approps bills
✅ Thune’s offer to have a *post-shutdown* ACA vote is still on the table

Virginia Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger, the state's first female governor, said her recent election victory should not be seen as permission for congressional Democrats to prolong the government shutdown.
“Our victory was based on a campaign addressing concerns related to costs and chaos,” Spanberger told @margbrennan. “Virginians need to — and Virginians want to — see the government reopen.”
Sen. Schumer in March: “If we ended up in a shutdown, three weeks from now people would come to me and say … 'They just got rid of my veteran's benefits,' 'Stop it,' … Then they'd say to me, 'Why did you let the shutdown happen?'"
Because of the Schumer Shutdown, air traffic controllers are being forced from their day job to find other ways to put food on the table.
Fewer controllers in the tower is what's caused these cancellations.
End the shutdown. Pay the controllers. Get more planes in the air.

From the party that keeps saying this is a Republican shutdown:

Also admits that the pain Americans are facing is worth the political “reward.”
As Democrats celebrate political "rewards" ... a reminder that tens of millions of people across America are still suffering from the far-left's 36-day "fight" to keep the federal government shut down.
