The @bcndp has only itself to blame for the fumbled, secretive, trust-eroding approach it has taken to several Indigenous reconciliation deals - which a new Angus Reid poll indicates is undercutting public confidence. My latest in @TheOrcaBC @BIVnews: biv.com/news/commentary/rob-…

The NDP would have never won the election if they didn't lie and hide to truth.

Manufacturing a Genocide The Balkanization of Canada "Canada is guilty of geopolitical naivety, but we’re not guilty of genocide.  From James Louie's first attempt in 2007 a real case for claims of genocide against Canada has been made, manufactured, one might say, by various parties that filled in the blanks that he was missing.  It's no wonder that a small sidebar throughout the UNDRIP Action Plan says: "Ajuinnata (Inuktitut meaning: A commitment to action/to never give up.)"  It is coincidental, perhaps, that this is also a word near and dear to Governor General Mary Simon, as reported on her Wikipedia page: “Simon considers the concept of ajuinnata as an important theme for her mandate as governor general.” We’re about to be Balkanized by UNDRIP. One side is determined to never give up; the other is asleep." open.substack.com/pub/michel…

Just they've fumbled everything else, including health care, violent street crime, homelessness, social disorder, etc. The only saving grace for Feeby and crew is that the opposition is just as incompetent & inept.

Then they passed a bill saying municipalities can hold close door meetings when with first nations if I remember correctly. Very recently

A judge in a previous case said not to advise all stakeholders (public) as the court would be swamped by litigants and it would stop it in its tracks. They knew what they were doing was wrong. Land acknowledgements were to condition (brainwash) the public.

The NDP is the victim here, it has to be all Trump's fault. If only they had money for a few more lawyers or communication consultants this all would be sorted out. Same for housing, crime, healthcare...

It was no accident or mistake. Starting years ago when they adopted UNDRIP then DRIPA. Then the secret backroom negotiations where the public was deliberately kept in the dark- because they knew we would oppose it.
3
this ongoing incompetence as to be by design-no one can be this stupid or is it the people that vote them in🙄
Your latest racist rant. We know, it's what you do. It's Indigenous land. End of debate.

They do not really care. They believe the right thing was done; they've been telling us as much for years. They are now just being performative.

The BC NDP has been running a secret indigenous reparations program since it was first elected. UNDRIP was the enabling legislation.
When you let things slide too far one way, you'd better be prepared for a huge back slide.
I blame the legal system.
NDP fumbling an issue? You don’t say…

The NDP has the first nations now at odds with the rest of Canada worse than any time in my lifetime. Stealing land from title holders is NOT reconciliation, but the path to confrontation Taking, devaluing, making property unmortgagable from many people will get extremely ugly

You don't even mention how the NDP came in and disrupted the sale of the old Mill Site in Powell River, instead forcing the sale of a number of lots to the local first nation, all behind closed doors in secretive negotiations/meetings
2
They are obviously lying. They resort to weasel speak like saying "we want to assure people that we are not taking away 100% of the fee simple." They never spell out what is being taken away. They know an informed public will not support what they are doing.

Two wrongs don’t make a right! This will kill reconciliation.

Hardly anyone knows about this yet. The party is just getting started. Get the popcorn out!!!😂😂
Rob, don't you feel the BC Supreme Court judge's decision was more directed at the Federal government as opposed to being a local BC concern?
Wow. It’s seems PM Trudeau destroyed Canadian consensus on immigration, and now with these deals Premier Eby has ruined BC goodwill to reconciliation. Too far left, too fast, and too much real people’s life savings’ and livelihoods at stake. Profoundly disappointed.

They angered people who never supported them, years away from an election and are far ahead of the opposition. Why would they care?
Fuck ndp fire those idiots
