This kind of violence does not represent who we are as a city, and we will never tolerate it. I am hoping that everyone affected will be ok. Thank you to all of our first responders who acted quickly to keep our community safe, as they do every day.
On 11/8/2025 at approximately 8:53 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Fulton street and Great Highway regarding a shooting.  Officers arrived on scene and located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered aid.
Recapping events from Democrats on the Move in the Sunset. In October, thousands of protesters gathered at Ocean Beach to peacefully protest against the Trump administration by creating a human banner forming the words "No Kings, Yes on 50" as part of a nationwide protest.

I was honored to earn Nancy Pelosi’s endorsement in my first bid for office on the Democratic County Central Committee back in 2012 — the only political newcomer she endorsed that year — and it has been an inestimable blessing for the Democratic Party, for San Franciscans, and for all Americans to have her as our voice in the U.S. Congress. Thank you, Nancy Pelosi!
Thank you, San Francisco.

San Francisco Democratic Party Chair Nancy Tung gave a rousing Prop 50 victory speech at Harrington’s on Election Night. We are going to continue putting in the work to elect Democrats at every level of govt to fight for a more affordable, more prosperous San Francisco for all.
There aren’t enough words in the to adequately describe all of the accolades that Speaker Emerita @SpeakerPelosi deserves for her powerful career in Congress representing San Francisco these past 39 years. Thank you for your service to San Francisco and our nation. 💙

So great to meet residents in Lower Haight to discuss the Family Zoning Ordinance today. In Lower Haight, base heights allowed for development are remaining the same, while higher heights already permitted by the State will be allowed in exchange for additional funding for affordable housing. This is how we build capacity for all levels of housing, and make progress towards mandates required by our State Housing Element.

California, you showed up big time. Thank you! You knocked on doors, you made calls, you voted, and you defended democracy.  But the work does not stop here. We must continue to organize to ensure we carry this victory into the midterms, and we will need you with us. Onward!

Democrats win when they focus on issues that matter to people: Housing affordability, food insecurity, and safe streets. People want solutions but the establishment isn't delivering. The new wave of Democrats is bringing back hope and I’m excited to be a part of it.
