The Republicans have the opportunity to take complete control by ditching the filibuster, they refuse to do it. The blame lies with the weak Republicans who will not stand up and stop letting the democrats piss on the entire country.

The issue is Republican in the Senate don’t want to do anything that will help president Trump or his voters! They work for the democrats and the special interests!

People forget that the filibuster only survives because both parties fear what the other side could do with unchecked power. The “weakness” isn’t just personal. It’s institutional self-preservation. Everyone screams about principles until they can actually enforce them. Then, suddenly, procedure matters again. Funny how the real loyalty in D.C. is to the system itself, not the voters.

They have a good reason for being afraid of eliminating the filibuster. They are governing so badly that there’s a good chance that democrats will soon be back in charge. Yes, I know, they might eliminate the filibuster themselves, but so far they never have.

And all they're doing is grandstanding blaming the democrats. This will not end well for them if they don't exercise the option.

Somehow the Democrats, with the filibuster in place, and a tiny majority, managed to unleash the gates of hell migration to almost completely replace us in some areas. And a zillion other stupid policies everybody hates. The filibuster is only a stop on Republicans. And they are fools for not ending it.

Wouldn't it help if POTUS had MAGA primary candidates lined up and applying the pressure? Treaten to hold a rally in their states to replace them. I don't see much of this. It should open season on the Uniparty. Their voting records are plain to see and it's naive to expect they'll change without threats. This should have been done 6 months ago.

I agree, however, if they strip the filibuster, R’s won’t use it to our advantage, and our bad R’s could use the simple-majority-only-requirement to side with D’s and pass anti-R legislation, which Trump could then veto. It should benefit us, but I doubt that it would.
Because they're really demonrats in disguise.

John Hawkins has a warning about that:
America as we know it today won't survive either side getting rid of the filibuster for legislation. culturcidal.com/p/why-gettin…

The Republicans are not "weak". They are corrupt. They have been bought off by donors who make money pissing on the entire country. We have a choice: Go after those donors or spend the rest or our days impotently whining while our country collapses.

They aren’t weak. @SenateGOP are bought off, corrupt, anti-American globalists

Thune could have prevented this mess to begin with. Several months ago. Remember, everyone was disappointed when Thune was named Senate Leader. Everyone knew he was a spineless weak leader then. A Mitch McConnell clone, appointed by Mitch, and the good old boy senate club.

They do weak crap like this all the time and yet expect us to vote and give money to them. You have to earn votes and money so that’s not happening.

Take "complete control" and watch in horror as Independents nuke your party in the midterms. You fuckin' MAGA halfwits need to learn that your 36% didn't put Trump back in office on your own. Go ahead. FAFO Tuesday's results were a small taste of what will come next November.
