The biggest fallacy of startups is that you’ll have a slim chance of making a lot of money bc startups as a whole have a very low percentage of making it big. The mistake is thinking YOU have the same chance as everyone else. We don’t say the chances of getting ripped after joining the gym is low. We conceptualize it as: if you have good form and show up repeatedly and don’t injure yourself you will inevitably get very strong.
If you take VC money, here are the odds you'll see a $1M in cash in your bank account. I would never, ever, ever take this deal.

Very important to understand: Maintaining optionality is, itself, very costly, bc, by delaying commitment, you miss out on compounding, and compounding is the most powerful force in business (& life).

Take5 is by far the ultimate candy and it’s not even close
I've always admired the super connector. The person who are not just great at one on one relationships, but also good at bringing people together where friends make friends. It's so positive sum and wholesome. And the connector is necessary to establish base trust.

you won’t believe how much peace you get once you start tuplizing *everything*. e.g. instead of arguing about where to eat with your gf, just ask her how strongly she feels. she’s like “thai, 9.” you’re like “italian, 6.” done. turns into math, not war. similarly feelings & other sensations can be better understood by you & your mind if they are just low dimensional vectors. & once you vectorize your thoughts & comms, life turns into gradient descent on mutual discomfort (this includes yourself).
can't believe it took me decades to realize feelings are better described as tuples `(sensation, location)` rather than emotion words

Can confirm, drug dealers are awesome. Especially the ones going door to door selling $250K cancer drugs. I honestly think in any industry let alone high trust ones showing up in person is the move.
I should really find more drug dealers

The underworld of fake verified LinkedIn accounts is so weird. Fake people who work at real companies. Like medical companies. Like doctors and nurses lol
Only two of these people work at Flexport. Is there no verification at all @linkedin? You charge us too much money to then also be a cesspool of fraud against our brand.

I built the passenger experience for Lyft's old self driving cars and we were always amazed with the possibilities. If car rides weren't dead time, you could do work in them, take a nap, catch up with friends. Then longer commutes don't matter. Which means people can live further away which will likely make suburbs outside cities more attractive. So many positive externalities to self driving cars.
