Corporations don’t pay enough to feed you and your family, so you use SNAP. Then he punishes you for using SNAP instead of taking on the companies that don’t pay you what you’re worth. We sometimes forget Trump is just an asshole boss. He always finds a way to blame workers.
If they fought for health care half as hard as they do to keep food from hungry families, this whole mess would be solved by now.
Trump administration tells states they must “immediately undo any steps taken to issue full SNAP benefits for November 2025" "To the extent States sent full SNAP payment files for November 2025, this was unauthorized." USDA Memo 👇
If your values are to take food from hungry people… well we have very different values let’s just say that.
We understand everything is too expensive. We're fighting to bring down skyrocketing health care costs. The only path forward is a deal that protects peoples' health insurance. Trump just needs to get involved in the art of this deal.
Yes we are offering a compromise. Just a simple one year extension. No bells and whistles. So Americans don’t see devastating rate hikes - rates doubling in many cases - this holiday season. Now Republicans just need to say yes and the government reopens.
We could solve this in half an hour. All Trump has to do is get on the phone and tell Republicans to support a one year extension of ACA tax credits, and the shutdown could be over. He’s the big dealmaker – it’s time to make a deal.
LIVE: Donald Trump claims to be a dealmaker. The ball is now in his court. Help negotiate a deal which protects the health care of tens of millions of Americans and let us end the shutdown today. x.com/i/broadcasts/1jMJgRYgv…
Empathy bone missing apparently

He’s not even good at lying because everyone knows we’ve been talking about health care for the entire month. He just knows if he let there be a vote on health insurance subsidies, it’d pass with bipartisan support.
Here’s the simple truth: The Democrat Shutdown is about NOTHING. If you asked 100 different Democrats what their shutdown is about you would get 100 different answers. Now Democrats have trapped themselves in the longest shutdown in U.S. history — and the American people are CONTINUING to pay the price.
More of this please. More Republicans like @berniemoreno calling Democrats out for their bullshit and propaganda right to their face.

For the love of god can we build housing instead?
Trump: "If you go a couple of years out, you're gonna see numbers like you've never seen. We're building some of the biggest building ever built anywhere in the world. The AI buildings."
Clarifying question: Does needlessly keeping food from working families make us great? Or is it keeping it from seniors on fixed incomes?
"SNAP BENEFITS, which increased by Billions and Billions of Dollars (MANY FOLD!) during Crooked Joe Biden’s disastrous term in office... will be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up government, which they can easily do, and not before!" - President Donald J. Trump

THERE IS NO REPUBLICAN HEALTH PLAN. THERE HASN'T BEEN FOR 10 YEARS. THIS MAN IS A WORLD CLASS OLYMPIC LIAR.
Mike Johnson talks about the Republican "healthcare plan" like it's highly classified information: "We're not gonna be on a conference call explaining all our plans and strategies for healthcare reform, because they're leaked in real time."

The shutdown is fun for Trump because he gets to throw lavish Gatsby-themed parties for his millionaire friends AND invent new and innovative ways to hurt poor people.
USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse. I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Grocery store cashier: ok ma’m that’ll be $186.00 Me: no you’re wrong
O'DONNELL: Grocery prices are up TRUMP: No, you’re wrong
Nothing like a Gatsby party for your uber rich friends at Mar-A-Lago while 5,000,000 of your neighbors get priced out of health insurance. @ChrisMurphyCT, @SenWarren and I just touched down in Florida because while Trump won’t fight for his neighbors, we will.
They must REALLY not want to feed hungry families if a Judge says you can, and you still won’t.
NEW: Ag Secretary Rollins today did not commit to releasing SNAP funds if ordered to do so by a federal judge “We’re looking at all the options.” The decision is really up to the White House - where officials are now mulling options w/ @Marcia_Brown9 politi.co/3WRNohv
Maybe you should consider the option of following the law.
