They were displaced with only what they could carry, leaving them without winter supplies. Right now blankets in Gaza range from $27 for thin single person blankets that weigh about 1.5-2 kilos to $65 for the extra thick double blankets that weigh 3.5-5 kilos and can cover about 2-4 people depending on size. Both these prices factor in 11% commission. But each family needs multiple blankets for the adults, children, elderly, and disabled, the injured and the sick, to stay warm at night in the dipping temperatures.
