this is more than “is mtf” “is ftm”. toshihide is a cisgender man who ends up being suddenly transitioned into a womans body, and is treated with hatred specifically towards trans women (transmisogyny), while also being a man stuck in a womans body and having dysphoria about it.

part of the magic of this story is it represents the struggle of being transgender from both angles at the same time, and does a good job dissecting the dysphoria of a man being in a womans body while portraying the discrimination and misogyny unique to transfemininity
