Sad to read the news about Lee Tamahouri. I personally always enjoy Die Another Day and I've definitely embraced it a lot more over the years. I also enjoyed The Edge (1997), and Once Were Warriors (1994) was such a brutal directorial debut. RIP Lee. #JamesBond

Roger Moore was a sweetie. We were on a Breakfast TV show and he came into my dressing room and told me how he and Michael Caine would go regularly to Spamalot and laugh their asses off. Genuinely lovely.
Replying to @EricIdle
Thank you for your answer Eric. I've thankfully met a few people I admire from telly and film world, but the one I regret never meeting was Roger Moore. Maybe I'll get to meet Mr Idle one day too.

$20M? These are outrageous terms. They should have dropped out of the deal

Seen IT (2017) a few times and I’m always impressed how they got every detail of being an American kid in 1989 accurate. Jansport backpacks, clothes, movie theater marquee, pop culture references, relentless bullying, mullets, and so on
What's the best thing you watched this weekend?

Remembering Roger Moore, BOTD 1927. Undoubtedly one of the most popular and much loved British actors. He refused to take himself too seriously, yet passionately took on his ambassadorial role at UNICEF and campaigned for animal welfare, even funding some of those personally.
Sometimes, but it’s a mute point
I've drawn another annoyance. Does this wind you up?

Love how he gives respect right back to those who offer it
Taking my 18 year-old son to watch Goldeneye, and realizing with some quick math that the last time I saw this in-theater, I was exactly his age! A classic to be enjoyed by all generations

Duran Duran - A View to a Kill
Not sure who would remember Suncoast Motion Picture Co. but when I worked there the 90s, they had classic film images along the upper wall, including this one of Roger. There are apparently only a couple of locations still open.

Why does Pratt get a rifle but Connery can’t have a PPK? Terminal List is an Amazon series Most disheartening sign yet for the next Bond film. I can’t get over the fact that someone with power at Amazon said “if you could get rid of Bond’s gun that would be great.”
So, Amazon has digitally removed firearms from the key art on all the James Bond movies on its platform… Shocking if you ask me, but what are your thoughts on the choice?

Nice story. “I’m a big fan”
#GlenPowell says a canceled actor asked to take a photo together at a Hollywood party and things got awkward. “I was at a party and there was somebody [there] that had basically been on the ropes in terms of sort of getting canceled. It was one of those Hollywood parties where there’s like cameras and press and all that stuff. This person had made some of my favorite movies and I was like, ‘Oh, this is great.’ He came up and he said, ‘Nice to meet you.’ I was like, ‘Oh, dude. Such a big fan.’ And then a photographer said, ‘Hey, can we take a picture of you guys.’ This person was recently canceled and it was not good. I was a fan of their work, but not a fan of their choices. So I was kind of just being nice. But then, when they wanted to take a picture with you, I realized very quickly — I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know if this is a good idea.’ He clearly clocked that I was like, ‘Oh, this is probably not a good idea.’ And I realized that this guy, his face is toxic. Going out into the world, people are having a visceral reaction to this person in terms of the bad choice they’ve made.” Read more here: variety.com/2025/film/news/g…

I have seen this film more times in the theater than any movie ever. But 3 decades have gone by since then, holy shit 12 more days till I watch it at Alamo Drafthouse. Can’t wait!
To celebrate James Bond Day, GOLDENEYE returns to the big screen worldwide from Friday 3 October in 4K, marking thirty years since the film's release. More information and tickets on 007.com.

The Long Walk was outstanding! One of those films that grips your attention all the way through. The theater was full on a Monday morning showing, which I’ve never seen before.
