Is the name the curse, it's weird that different tech projects of the same have failed twice, not a lot, but still weird that it's twice
Concorde cannot happen today not because we lack the tech but because the age of experimentation in engineering is over. Right now everything must be certified. I mean look at the 777x Boeing it was originally meant to enter service in 2020 but delayed due to some issues that would be overlooked in the 80s. The line is still undergoing certification and it will not enter service anytime before 2027.
The same can be said for the moon landing. The moon landing was done fast in order to beat the soviets to it. A lot of astronauts died in this quest. Right now, not a single life is expendable and also it needs to make economic sense. It’s not just about going back to the moon to show Russia they can do it.
