Red lights are emitted at intersections to remind people not to cross the red lights. The installation of 100 projection lights across Hong Kong is expected to be completed by the end of next year. A new auxiliary device is being installed on a trial basis at pedestrian crossings, projecting a red light to remind pedestrians, especially those who keep their phones in their hands, not to cross the road when the light is red.
