I've never felt this way about a public figure in my life. I have a very tough exterior; but this has me heartbroken. I wish I knew you or even spoke to you, just one time. What a loss of such an amazing human being. The absolute best of us. RIP Charlie.

I'm high income. He's going to f**k me for $2000? I guess I am going to have to go to the stock market with $2000, gamble, & make it $5000 ($2000 plus tax). I'm tired of carrying the world on my back. What happened to this guy?
I am once again asking that we please abolish the income tax instead.
Hey y'all, I'm struggling too. I filed my taxes at the extension deadline. I'm owed $800ish by the IRS; but, it won't get processed because of the shutdown. That's one month of EBT. The struggle is real!🤣😂
I don't think people want to be bought off with a check. That isn't economic change. The whole point is to present a viable alternative to leftist Democratic socialist redistributionism. A check is like acknowledging you can't.
Keep digging. Portnoy is making it worse & becoming the stereotype.
CBS: “We sat down with the owner of America’s largest gambling racket to see how he’s been victimized by casual antisemitism while he films his ‘pizza review’ bits where he occasionally stops off to bankrupt random mom and pop restaurants using his media influence”

As ridiculous as the mortgage situation is, calling FDR a "great" president is a crime.
In this clip I break down almost every myth taught about free markets in the typical highschool curriculum.  The infamous snake oil salesmen was dealt with through common law fraud protections not top down regulations. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and how the origin of the FDA was driven by industry lobbying and socialist ideology. Federal regulatory agencies having no impact on safety, environmental or quality trends. The growth and improvements in quality of life during the late 1800's + the impact of immigration on poverty and progressive politics. The myth of Standard Oil and natural vs unnatural monopolies. Federal reserve and gold standard.

Foreign aid comprises about $70 billion annually, equating to roughly 4% of the projected $1.8 trillion FY2025 federal deficit. Entitlements like Social Security and Medicare, plus rising debt interest, drive over 70% of the shortfall, making foreign aid a minor contributor. Prioritizing spending cuts there would yield far greater impact than trimming aid.

We don’t have capitalism. We have cronyism.
BREAKING: Capitalism isn’t working for young people, per Peter Thiel.
Much of generational hatred comes from the fact that our parents never grew into the grandparents that we grew up with. I cannot imagine my grandparents laughing at the future generations like this. This is why we owe Boomers nothing. The attitude.
It is theirs, they paid into it. That big $1800 a month isn't going to help very much especially if you have several children.

Obamacare’s failure was supposed to lead to nationalized healthcare but it may end up collapsing the entire insurance cartel. By mandating equal coverage despite risk average prices skyrocketed. It got so expensive doctors and consumers have been leaving the insurance system for years in favor of direct care subscriptions or alternate risk sharing models. It’s taken them a while to get organized but the network of treatment options outside of government subsidized insurance have skyrocketed. Covid certainly helped speed it along as many woke up to the system. If Trump takes the 150 billion dollars allocated to insurance companies and gives it directly to the people it’s gonna radically accelerate the collapse of the insurance monopoly as a lot of those people will chose cheaper options outside the traditionally subsidized system. Now we just need to legalize alternate medical associations, medical licensing and various services/medications/treatments so that more alternative treatment options can develop outside of the highly regulated Pharma controlled hospital, association, IP, licensing and insurance monopolies. 25% of government spending is dumped into this over priced death machine. Millions suffer and die as they forgo artificially expensive treatments, or end up butchered by doctors blindly carrying out the directives of industry controlled bureaucracies to which they have outsourced their critical thinking and guilt under the guise of institutional expertise. You are supposed to be the experts, the expertise, technology and innovation exists within the industry, not the lobbyists representing their financial interests in DC.
Actually, @peterthiel is wrong. The problem is not the practice of capitalism. The problem is we don't practice it. We practice corporatism. Capitalism worked just fine for young generations of Americans for hundreds of years. We lost the Spirit of Capitalism. Perverted it.
Peter Thiel: If you graduated in 1970 with no student debt, compare that to the millennial experience: too many people go to college, they don’t learn anything, and they end up with incredibly burdensome debt. Student debt is a version of this generational conflict that I’ve talked about for a long time. The rupture of the generational compact isn’t limited to student debt, either. I think you can reduce 80 percent of culture wars to questions of economics—like a libertarian or a Marxist would—and then you can reduce maybe 80 percent of economic questions to questions of real estate. It’s extremely difficult these days for young people to become homeowners. If you have extremely strict zoning laws and restrictions on building more housing, it’s good for the boomers, whose properties keep going up in value, and terrible for the millennials. If you proletarianize the young people, you shouldn’t be surprised if they eventually become communist.”
We should normalize this behavior. It's honorable.
I'm going to be fine theoretically. My goal is to take every Social Security Check I earn & give it straight back to my children when I'm eligible because I feel guilty that their money is stolen from them to finance my retirement. You should feel this way. It's not 'yours'.

Trump is a real estate guy. He knows the type of interest this generates. What the hell is wrong with him? Terrible idea.
Taking the subsidies from ObamaCare and giving them directly to the American consumer is a great idea. 50-year mortgages that will financially imprison young Americans for LIFE to the benefit of the oligarchs you ran against, is not. Trump needs to houseclean. No other way.
FDR was the second worst President next to Wilson. @realDonaldTrump cut Social Security, you asshole & stop making the younger generation pay for the most entitled one in US history.
