Another fantastic example of simple and effective Iranian apartment design! A mixture of red brick, and turquoise stone with shaded balconies. Should be inspirational to cities around the world. By Herreh Architects, in Tehran

There’s one apartment per floor, and as per usual it’s definitely at the higher end of the market. But a great example of urban infill, and making a small site work hard to provide housing!

I absolutely agree; the thoughtful integration of those rich textures and the subtle color palette makes this building stand out. It's a wonderful testament to how aesthetics and practicality can perfectly align in urban housing projects.

Have you ever looked at city planning in Iran? The streets are far too narrow for the size of the population — it’s chaos. Entire cities look as if they were thrown together without a plan. It’s an absolute disaster. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

The gap between persians with taste and persians without taste is so unbelievably massive. They can do this, but every other one I've met has 15 gold chains and a button down shirt with a foil-leaf chinese dragon on it.

Detailing is nice, but it’s otherwise disjointed, ugly and oppressive.
